People First Consult is looking for an End to End Supply Chain Manager on behalf of one of its clients, a global leader in food and beverage, for its business in Ethiopia.

The company is currently expanding its business in Ethiopia, a key growth market in East Africa and they are in search of top-notch End to End Supply Chain Manager to join their team.
The main purpose of the job
The professional taking on this job will be responsible for delivering the growth of the company’s supply chain in the coming years with his/her team. In 2024, 2 new lines will be commissioned, introducing a full new product in the market, and unlocking the potential of the fast-growing Ethiopian market. The business is expected to grow significantly over to coming years and the candidate for the role need to be able to adapt and re-direct course to design the right supply chain in a fast-developing and volatile country.
He/she will lead the Maintenance & reliability, Quality & food safety, EHS, Operations, Supply Planning & Logistics, General service & facility teams (290+ FTE), delivering the required demand on time in full at the right place. Continuously improving the performance and productivity over time, by lifting the performance of the teams, which also includes the ambition of the company on their sustainability program.
The role will interact with different functions on various level in the organization and well as be part of the leadership team in the organization.
Position Details
Position: End to End-to-End Supply Chain Manager
Reports to: West, East, and Central Africa Supply Chain Lead
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Contract Type: Regular
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure safety for all staff and meet compliance on (internal & external) EHS standards and legislation, decision-maker
- Ensure QFS compliance and meet AIB audit results, as well as quality certifications, decision-maker
- Expansion of manufacturing, $40mm capex to enable $100mm NR, decision, execution, and consultation at different workstreams in the project
- Supporting procurement localization and strategy for expansion including new raw materials setup, decision-maker
- Productivity, decisionmaker
- Setting up the network for the expanded business, initiating country DCs, facilitating expanded country and East African supply locations/ customers, and investing in a new primary fleet (including agro logistics), decision-maker
- Leading the 290+ associates in E2E SC, building the 350+ organization for the expanded business, decision maker
Key Skills/Experience Required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Supply chain management / Engineering (higher or equivalent)
- Experience: Minimum of experience of 10+ years in supply chain roles in the (food) manufacturing sector, with 5+ years of managerial experience.
- E2E SC (SP&L, Operations, QFS, Productivity (TPM), Maintenance & reliability, EHS, General service & facility)
