People First Consult is looking for 20 Sales Officers to be deployed across different cities in the country on behalf of one of its clients, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company.
12 for Addis Ababa, 1 for Hawassa, 1 for Adama, 1 for Dire Dawa, 1 for Gonder, 1 for Bahirdar, 1 for Mekelle, 1 for Dessie, 1 for Shashemene and 1 for Wolayta)
Job Purpose
The Sales Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, securing and maintaining clients, and meeting sales targets. The ultimate goal for the Sales Officer is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and building strong relationships with clients.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive and boost sales to achieve the company’s target
- Implement effective sales strategies to meet company targets
- Identify potential clients and conduct business development activities
- Maintain and nurture relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Prepare sales reports and submit them to the immediate supervisor
- Provide feedback on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Participate in industry or promotional events to cultivate customer relationships
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results
- Seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
- Setting up meetings with potential clients listening to their wishes and concerns and report summary to the immediate supervisor
- Producing selling tariffs and local schedules to the customers
- Tracking and monitoring customers' performance
- Other duties and responsibilities entrusted by the immediate supervisor
Required skills and knowledge
- BA Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management or equivalent with no experience
- Diploma/equivalent in sales and marketing management with at least 2 years experience
- High school complete with 5 years of proven experience in similar roles
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
- Fast learner with a passion for sales
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations
- Sales officer with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a keen understanding of sales principles. Experience in customer relationship management is also advantageous
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
- Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
- Conduct market research to understand competitors and market trends
